Crotched Mountain School offers a joyful place to learn for children ages 5-22 who have physical disabilities, developmental disabilities and/or emotional disabilities. Students in grades K-12 thrive with the individualized educational and therapeutic services they receive throughout the year.
GREENFIELD, NH- On February 14th, the Contoocook School Cougars came to the Crotched Mountain Eagles' "nest" to play a spirited game of basketball in the school gym.

A day and residential school
Situated in a picturesque New Hampshire countryside, Crotched Mountain offers both day and residential school options all year. Through individualized education plans (IEPs) and supports, students are encouraged to learn and grow at their own pace and at their own level. This may include a mastery of daily living skills through a high school diploma.
With all students, our goal is to increase their social, educational and vocational opportunities, and encourage their involvement in school and community life. As a family-centered special education school, we encourage families to be actively involved in their student's education and activities.
Expert therapies and medical care
On-site therapists and medical professionals work as a team with school staff to integrate therapies and supports into each student's education program. Our hospital and health center can address the routine and acute health care needs of our students.
A friendly, accessible campus
The spacious Crotched Mountain campus is accessible. Highlights of our campus include a Media Center, Aquatics Center and therapy pool, full-size gymnasium, three well-equipped therapy gyms and health center. Classrooms are large, enjoyable places to learn and feature accessible media and ample room for mobility equipment. An easily accessed waterfront area, beach and trails provide opportunities for fun outdoor activities.
Residential life
Residential living includes a variety of programs to support many student needs. Living arrangements include accessible one-story residences with daytime and awake overnight staff, family-style meals and bedrooms housing one or two students; supervised apartment-style living for students in transitional programs and community homes where students live in family settings. The Crotched Mountain campus also includes a hospital for students who require more intensive medical and skilled nursing support.
Full NEASC accreditation
Crotched Mountain School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is a special education school approved in all New England states — New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, Rhode Island — New York, New Jersey and other states.

Miles Forma organizes African fundraising efforts
A concern for Rwandan orphans and Sudanese refugees led Miles Forma, a 2008 Crotched Mountain School graduate, to raise awareness and thousands of dollars on their behalf.
