Jan Holland, MA, Director, is a behavioral health and educational specialist at the Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center (CMRC) in Greenfield, NH. She established and directs the TRUST Center, which provides training and support to students, teachers, human service professionals, and families in the area of positive behavior change. Throughout her 25-year career she has worked as an educator and consultant with parents, teachers, and human service professionals to develop positive, person-centered approaches for individuals experiencing challenges of learning and behavior. She holds a BA in Education from Auburn University, an MA in Education from Scarritt College, and pursued postgraduate studies in Counseling at Andover-Newton Theological Seminary. In 2005 the National Association for the Dually Diagnosed honored her with the Serena Merck Leadership Memorial Award which is given annually to "a person who has proven leadership and guidance which have resulted in the significant improvement in the quality of life for persons with developmental disabilities and mental health needs."
Mary FitzPatrick, Behavioral and Educational Consultant to people with a wide range of learning and behavioral challenges assists individuals and teams to find meaningful ways to relate and live life fully. She has facilitated the development of person-centered supports, lifestyles and systems change throughout the U.S., Canada, and Great Britain. Mary is the Executive Director of Psalm 33, Inc., a non-profit organization that supports adults with developmental disabilities in living, working, and recreating. She deeply cherishes her 24 years of community building and life-sharing with this group. Since 1984, Mary has been developing a practice of Positive Behavior Supports through the implementation of Gentle Teaching. She is a charter member of the Positive Behavior Supports Association and former member of the Governor's Advisory Council, the New Hampshire Developmental Disabilities Council.
Dan Hobbs, MA, TRUST Center Consultant, is a special educator who travels extensively throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe teaching parents, teachers, and human services professionals positive approaches to challenges of behavior and learning. For more than 25 years, Dan has written and produced books and videotapes on the topic of Gentle Teaching, but has spent the majority of his time providing "hands on" training to practitioners in education and human services. Dan runs his own consulting service and works with the TRUST Center on a periodic basis.
Linda Hughes, administrative assistant, has worked in two centers of excellence: Rehabilitation Services and Positive Behavioral Support Services. Her attention to detail, and her excellent planning and organizational skills, have assured the success of innumerable conferences and trainings, as well as many other services offered through the Centers of Excellence. Linda has made it all happen! She is an integral member of the team.
