On Sunday, August 17, the Hampshire 100, NH's most exciting, premier ultra-endurance, mountain bike race returns to Crotched Mountain for its second year. This EFTA-sanctioned event raised $6,000 last year and Crotched Mountain is again the sole beneficiary of the proceeds.
Participants come from all over New England, New York and even Canada and feature some of the country's best riders!
This all-day 100-K race begins at Oak Park in Greenfield and winds through Francestown, Hancock, Deering and Weare, crossing a portion of Crotched Mountain before finishing at Oak Park.
We will need volunteers to assist in a number of areas to control traffic as racers cross the road. If you are able to help for a two- or four- hour part of this race, we would very much appreciate your assistance. Please take a look at the schedule below and contact Patricia Whitney if you can volunteer. All volunteers will receive an official race shirt and are invited to a chicken barbecue at 6:00pm celebrating the event. When calling to sign up as a volunteer for this event, please have your shirt size ready.
