Our developmental pediatrician, Dr. Jan McGonagle, provides diagnostic evaluations and treatment of children with developmental disorders. From prenatal consultations to guidance and treatment through young adulthood, we are with you every step of the way in your child’s physical, emotional and cognitive development. Our clinic provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children and their parents to receive medical care.

We serve children with disabilities from birth through adolescence, as well as expectant parents who believe their child may have a developmental condition. Diagnoses include:

What Is a Developmental Pediatrics Assessment?
A developmental pediatrics assessment is conducted by a developmental pediatrician. It includes obtaining a comprehensive history and conducting a complete medical examination in order to establish an accurate diagnosis. While some developmental conditions can be diagnosed at birth, others cannot be diagnosed until later. Based upon the needs of the child, specific interventions are recommended. Potential recommendations encompass a wide range of disciplines including psychopharmacology or other medical treatments, behavioral consultation, educational programming, audiology, and physical, occupational and speech therapies.
Do You Provide Follow-Up?
Yes. Follow-up appointments are scheduled as necessary for medication management, developmental monitoring and guidance for access to school and community services. Follow-up appointments are scheduled according to the needs of the child and may occur monthly, semi-annually or annually.
