Spasticity Program

 Occupational Therapy

Spasticity is a common symptom of stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury and other neurological disorders that causes muscles to stiffen and natural reflexes to appear exaggerated. Our physiatrist helps to alleviate these symptoms through medical Botox® injections, management of intrathecal baclofen pumps and prescription drug management. Physical and occupational therapies may also be incorporated into a patient’s individualized program to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility.

If you or a family member are experiencing spasticity, contact us. Our clinical and therapeutic staff are experienced in serving people who have complex medical conditions and diagnoses that result in spasticity.
