The Granite State Independent Living Foundation recently honored Crotched Mountain's Refurbished Equipment Marketplace with its Public Service Award.
The award recognizes an organization that has demonstrated leadership in improving rehabilitation services in New Hampshire and has improved the lives of persons with disabilities.
The Refurbished Equipment Marketplace accepts and professionally services donated durable medical equipment such as manual and power wheelchairs, mobility aids, hospital beds, bath aids, scooters and portable ramps.
The equipment is then available for purchase at a fraction of its original cost by persons who find the cost of new technology prohibitive.
The Refurbished Equipment Marketplace has a showroom on Iron Works Road in Concord. Equipment donations to the marketplace are tax deductible and free pickup is available.
