Watch out American Idol, Crotched Mountain School has talent.
On Friday, April 23rd students and staff of Crotched Mountain School gathered in the gym for the annual Student Talent Show of 2010. The students had been rehearsing with music teacher Bonnie Arpin and other school staff for months to prepare for this day.
There were a wide variety of acts which covered anything and everything from singing and dancing, to musical numbers and skits. All of the performances featured music from many genres including 50's music, country music, rap and the blues.
Some of the vocalist performances included:
-
Stay by Sugarland performed by Leona
-
Bet On it from High School Musical performed by Chris
-
Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergy performed by Ricky
Next, Kyla and Bonnie played Sonatia, a duet on the piano. This was followed by several dance numbers were performed by the Active Ingredients Dance Troupe and our Tuesday Dance Group which meets on Tuesday afternoons. In addition, a number of students who use wheelchairs performed solo dances for the crowd.
Parents, staff, and fellow students in the crowd showed their support as they clapped and cheered after each performance. Once again, the students of Crotched Mountain School shined as they demonstrated their talents.
