Crotched Mountain > Community >  THE FARM SCHOOL                                                           Overview Sunnyfield Farm is a 60 acre working farm, owned and operated by Crotched Mountain. It is designed to support the vocational and social needs of people with disabilities, enabling them to formnatural relationships with individuals from the larger community. It is managed by a local family who has extensive experience involving people of all abilities inagricultural programs. The farm includes cows and horses, chickens and ducks, sheep, and goats. During growing season, we raise a variety of organic garden vegetables that are sold at the local farmer's market. We have begun milk production and, in the future,willbe producing cheese. The farmhouse and outbuildings date back to the 1930s. Since the farm was donated to Crotched Mountain a few years ago, we have restored the barns and other buildings and developed the livestock, agriculture and and farming produce programs. In the future, we plan to create a Community Supported Agricultral (CSA) program, whereby members will receive locally grown and seasonally fresh organic vegetables, herbs and flowers in return for their involvement and support of Sunnyfield Farm.

Sunnyfield is a working farm that manages the landscape in accordance with organic and biodynamic principles to provide broad mutual support to diverse human and natural communities.
